Mississippi Tradition

Beginning in 1901, the college football rivalry between The University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University is decided on the field. We call this annual battle the “The Egg Bowl.” In 1927, the famed “Golden Egg” trophy was introduced to the series and since that time, winner of what has come to be known as the Egg Bowl Trophy earns one full year of “bragging rights” between these two universities.

Mississippi Celebration

Mississippi KIDS COUNT’s Egg Ball is a chance for passionate alumni from both schools to come together for one night and focus on the well-being of all Mississippians. We celebrate together, contribute together, and make Mississippi better together.
